Following last week's postponement of the The Under 15 Cup Final between Slaithwaite and Barkisland conditions could not have been more contrasting as the sun shone brightly at Slaithwaite on Sunday. The home team batted first but failed to make use of a large proportion of their allocated 40 overs. Slaithwaite were all out for 110 leaving Harrison Quarmby not out on 53. Barkisland lost wickets at regular intervals but opener Harry Finch timed his innings to perfection. With the 50 run retirement limit looming he hit a six to move his personal score to 55 and Barkisland's total to 111 for 7. Harry Finch clinched the Gordon Holroyd Memorial Man of the Match award as his brother Josh lifted the Romida Cup for Barkisland.
